Congratulations to Brittanny Teiberis. Hardworking strong mother by day. Athlete and competitor by night or early rooster crew when she can make it! The point is that she makes time for her fitness. I still remember her first OnRamp and learning that she used to be a Cage Fighter. I was thinking Ok, don’t want to tick her off….But actually she is the sweetest person ever. She will forever be referred to as a “Swole-mate!” (January 2016 Fitness Challenge Partner) This gal had epic tank tops made for her partners Cindy and Maria with “Swole Patrol” and a badge on them.
Her story is so intriguing. She is a go getter if I have ever seen one. And Never Settle should be her middle name. The mere fact that she considers Thrusters as a partial favorite MetCon makes me love her.
You are an amazing person and such a great asset to our JCCF Community! Thank you!

Funniest memory at the box: I’m not sure about funniest, but I know I had a lot of fun doing the Open this year and participating in the People Helping Paws benefit.
Tell us some about your journey, greatest accomplishments. Like what was your reason for starting, why you stuck with it? What makes you keep coming back? Please be detailed. 🙂
I have always been very active in sports growing up anything from ice skating, to soccer, to cross country. After having my first child I wanted to get into a sport to get myself back in to shape so I started doing Jiu Jitsu, which quickly turned into boxing, then Mixed Martial Arts. Yes, Cage Fighting. I joined the military became a cook, then a combat medic, then shortly after coming home met my husband (at an mma gym) lol. After having our last son I had a hard time getting myself motivated again to get back into shape. My father asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him a one month membership to try CrossFit! Turns out I love it! The workouts are always changing, everyone is always so encouraging, every class I feel like I’m learning something. I can see myself getting stronger and having more confidence again. It is easy to get carried away in the every day stresses of life and I feel like the box is one place where I can let go of all of that and focus on my well being.
If you could give any advice for a person new to CrossFit, what would it be?: Don’t let all the “talk” intimidate you. I know before I started I watched a lot of CrossFit competitions, youtube videos, and talked to a lot of people about it. I just remember thinking that looks so hard and I don’t know how anyone can do these incredible feats. You Can Do It. Start small, go into everyday looking to learn, and better yourself, and you will be so surprised the advances you will make in not only your physical ability, but your mental toughness as well!
Please list two future goals. I would love to master kipping pull ups (this could very well be a 6 month or 1 year goal, but I will get them down eventually lol) Overall I would just like to continue to grow as an athlete, a person, and to be someone who sets good example for my kids.
Favorite Quote: Keep Alert, Stand Firm In Your Faith, Be Courageous, Be Strong. Let All That You Do Be Done In Love.
Anything else you wish to share that your heart desires: Big thanks to all of the coaches and other athletes at JCCF! You truly make me a better person and I am truly grateful for that!
