Announcing our June JCCF MVP Lucas Eggen!
“Inside you is the potential to make yourself better…and that is what it is to be human. To make yourself more than you are.” -Captain Jean Luc Picard
Congratulations to an absolutely outstanding man. I am impressed daily by his character, morale, and drive to always be the first one to stand beside and support. He loves to run and my greatest memory is the run in the rain. He went back out after he finished his Workout and ran in with Mike B. who was on his last leg. The shot captured a 1,000 good feelings.

Funniest memory at the box: Nothing specific comes to mind, but if something did it would probably involve Zach Lauf.
Tell us some about your journey. What are some of your greatest accomplishments?
My greatest accomplishments would be hitting my first bar Muscle Ups. Also I started just before “Murph” so my first one was all scaled except the run and the squats and it took me around 64 minutes to complete. This year I was able to do it all RX and finished it in 44:14. My reason for starting was I was getting tired of going to your regular gym and doing the same thing over and over again by myself.
The reason I stuck with it and the reason I keep coming back are because it gives me a place to come and forget about the rest of the day for a little bit. Also the amazing people that go there.
What was it like experiencing your first CrossFit Competition? It made me feel the same as I always did before doing any type of sporting event. Nervous and sick to my stomach until I started the first event.
If you could give any advice for a person new to CrossFit, what would it be?:
If you are like me and you were worried about not being able to perform all the movements it doesn’t matter. They will come in time and if they don’t then you always have something else to work towards.
Please list future goals: 6 months – Get more proficent at double unders and snatches. One year – do more competitions.
