Announcing Shawn Michael Thompson as the May MVP! Congratulations! I remember covering his OnRamp last year close to this time with his sister, Sydney. In between giving each other a hard time, they were quite competitive against each other. Great movements from the get go, just worked bringing it all together. Not many 17 y/0 students would show up every morning at 5am to workout before their day of high school. Shawn Michael is leaving for basic training the first week of June for 9 weeks, and then leaves straight into AIT for 17 weeks for training to be a sign support specialist. He will graduate from AIT on December 1, 2015. We are so proud of this young man, who we have been able to see grow over the last 12 months. Making goals and reaching for them. We will miss having you, but you will always have a box to come visit and call home after graduation! Sir, be strong, be vast, be brilliant.

Tell us some about your journey, greatest accomplishments. Like what was your reason for starting, why you stuck with it? What makes you keep coming back?:  My accomplishment was coming back from an ankle issue. My sister actually got me into the box. I love the people everyone is like family. And the people at 5am and 5:30 class are they reasons I come back.

If you could give any advice for a person new to CrossFit, what would it be?: Just go and do the wod you’ll be happy afterwards.
